Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Permanent Bilingual Shop Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

As a Bilingual Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the shop floor while ensuring all activities align with our company’s policies and objectives. Your duties will include:

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.
2. Reviewing work orders, product specifications, and other materials to plan and schedule production activities.
3. Inspecting materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
4. Directing and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
5. Enforcing safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to.
6. Communicating effectively with both English and non-English speaking employees to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proficiency in English and at least one other language.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
4. Strong knowledge of production procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance in the manufacturing industry.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex instructions to a diverse team.
8. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
