Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Conduct tax research and stay current with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice to clients.
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial opportunities.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to determine tax implications and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide updates on tax matters.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in internal and external training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
