Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety, including experience with Title 5 regulations and a proven track record in managing EHS programs in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

As an EHS Manager, you will:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about safety procedures, accident prevention, and environmental stewardship.
  4. Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to develop strategic plans for continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
  6. Manage the preparation and submission of all required environmental permits, reports, and documentation.
  7. Lead the company's emergency response plan and serve as the primary contact during emergencies.
  8. Stay current with industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in EHS management and incorporate this knowledge into company programs.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment.
  3. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, including Title 5.
  4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS management systems.
  8. Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and manage stressful situations.
  9. Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field and undergo necessary training.
