Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a solid background in manufacturing within the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of financial procedures, including budgeting, inventory, and the operating budget. They will also have significant experience using ERP systems. This permanent position requires a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
4. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Working closely with the manufacturing team to monitor inventory levels and costs.
8. Utilizing ERP systems to streamline and automate financial processes.
9. Participating in the ongoing development and implementation of the company's strategic plans.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, candidates must possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, specifically within the manufacturing sector of the engineering industry.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to direct and supervise.
6. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and automation of financial processes.
7. Strong experience in creating and managing budgets.
8. Solid experience in inventory management.
9. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
11. Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
12. Excellent business acumen and strategic planning skills.
