Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Advising on a wide range of legal matters, including asset-based lending transactions, loan compliance, and other transactional matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of complex legal documents related to lending transactions and other corporate matters.
  • Providing legal advice and counsel to senior management and other business leaders on legal risks and considerations in business decisions.
  • Managing and coordinating with outside counsel as needed.
  • Staying abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and educating the organization on these topics.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures to ensure the organization's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participating in strategic planning and other business initiatives, providing legal perspective and advice.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a focus on asset-based lending transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of lending transactions, asset loans, and loan compliance.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus.
