Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the company including developing and implementing financial strategies, systems, policies, and procedures.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Manage cost accounting and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Evaluate and manage business risks, investments, and capital structure.
- Ensure the efficient and effective management of company’s financial resources, driving financial planning, and profitability.
- Coordinate tax planning processes and compliance with relevant tax authorities.
- Provide operational support to various departments, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals.
- Implement and manage the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Manage and administer the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOPs).
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the lumber or construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and tax planning.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Experience with ESOPs will be considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
- High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Should have lumber or construction experience
