Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the financial operations of the company including developing and implementing financial strategies, systems, policies, and procedures.
  2. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  3. Manage cost accounting and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  4. Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner.
  5. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  6. Evaluate and manage business risks, investments, and capital structure.
  7. Ensure the efficient and effective management of company’s financial resources, driving financial planning, and profitability.
  8. Coordinate tax planning processes and compliance with relevant tax authorities.
  9. Provide operational support to various departments, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals.
  10. Implement and manage the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  11. Manage and administer the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOPs).

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the lumber or construction industry.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
  3. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
  5. Experience with regulatory compliance and tax planning.
  6. Proficiency in ERP systems.
  7. Experience with ESOPs will be considered an asset.
  8. Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
  11. High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
  12. Should have lumber or construction experience
