Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Construction Operations to join our fast-paced team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a national home builder company with a start-up feel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in home construction, specifically single-family home construction. This role will involve overseeing all construction operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
As the Vice President of Construction Operations, you will:
- Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with the company's overall goals.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and growth.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to determine the feasibility of potential projects, assessing risks, costs, and potential return on investment.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, advancements, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve operations and stay ahead of competitors.
- Ensure all construction operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the construction team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Vice President of Construction Operations role, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in the construction industry, preferably as a Vice President or Director.
- Proven experience in home construction, specifically single-family home construction.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams to success.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- A go-getter attitude, with the drive and determination to succeed in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
