Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the substation, ensuring all activities align with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Lead the design and implementation of new electrical systems, incorporating the latest technologies and innovations.
- Ensure compliance with NESC, RUS, Rural Utility Service, and IEEE regulations.
- Coordinate with various teams and departments to ensure the effective operation of power systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of substation operations.
- Manage and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee project management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other managers and stakeholders to identify potential improvements and implement solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
- In-depth knowledge of NESC, RUS, Rural Utility Service, and IEEE regulations.
- Proven experience in Power Systems and Electrical Design.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using modern engineering tools and software.
- Project management skills, with the ability to oversee projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
