Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year
A bit about us:We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the 2nd shift in our Advanced Inpatient Pediatrics (AIP) unit. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in children's behavioral health, coupled with a commitment to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
Why join us?As a Registered Nurse in our AIP unit, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Documenting all patient care and interactions in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Educating patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques.
- Responding to emergencies and providing crisis intervention as needed.
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in children's behavioral health.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
