Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Our Multi-practice, commercial law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Foreclosure & Collections Paralegal to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and contribute to our team's success by leveraging your legal knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys with foreclosure, collections, and related legal matters. This role requires a strong understanding of the legal processes and protocols, as well as a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to foreclosure and collections cases.
• Prepare and review foreclosure letters, stipulation settlements, and post-judgment enforcement documents.
• Handle electronic filing systems and legal document preparation.
• Assist in trial preparation, including document review and coordination.
• Utilize legal case management software for tracking and managing cases.
• Ensure legal compliance in all actions, adhering to the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and New Jersey Condominium Act.
• Prepare affirmative defenses and handle tasks related to writs of execution and wage garnishments.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient case management and timely completion of tasks.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to foreclosure and collections.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years in foreclosure and collections.
• Strong knowledge of legal research methods, legal document drafting, and electronic filing systems.
• Proficiency in legal document preparation and trial preparation.
• Experience in document review and using legal case management software.
• Good understanding of legal compliance, Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, and New Jersey Condominium Act.
• Proven experience in preparing foreclosure letters, stipulation settlements, post-judgment enforcement documents, and affirmative defenses.
• Familiarity with writs of execution and wage garnishments.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Paralegal certification preferred.
