We seek a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to apply your financial acumen in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial functions.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
- Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including reconciling bank and credit card accounts, coordinating and completing annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
- Analyzing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
- Streamline and improve financial systems and processes.
- Using Sage software to manage financial transactions and create financial reports.
- Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Sage and other financial management software.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting and General Ledger functions.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
