We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Payroll Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial operations of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of payroll systems and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all payroll processes and operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage both union and non-union payroll, ensuring all payments are processed on time and accurately.
  • Utilize Dayforce, COINS, and other payroll software to process payroll, manage employee data, and generate reports.
  • Continually review and improve payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other company systems.
  • Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues, providing excellent customer service to employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant at all times.
  • Prepare and present payroll reports to company management, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.
  • Train and mentor payroll staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, including experience with union and non-union payroll.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software, specifically Dayforce and COINS.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees and other departments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience training and mentoring staff.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
