We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in labor law, specifically California Employment Law. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on complex cases, contribute to high-stakes decisions, and make a significant impact on our clients' lives. The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law litigation defense.

Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to:

  1. Manage a diverse caseload of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
  3. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and provide accurate legal advice to clients.
  4. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  5. Collaborate with our legal team to develop effective defense strategies, while also working independently to move cases forward.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California Employment Law and stay informed about the latest legal trends and developments in labor law.
  7. Provide exceptional client service, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness at all times.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Associate Attorney position will possess the following:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Active membership in the California State Bar.
  3. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong emphasis on employment law litigation defense.
  4. Proficiency in labor law, specifically California Employment Law.
  5. Excellent research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  9. Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and outstanding client service.
