Job Details

Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising the accounting team, managing general ledger activities, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.

Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accounting standards.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Provide training, support, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including cost analysis, profitability assessments, and financial modeling.

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Inventory Accounting: Manage and oversee inventory accounting, including cost analysis, valuation, and reconciliation.
