Job Details

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our restaurant, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts, and providing financial insights to support the restaurant’s growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards.

General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and categorized.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collection activities. Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and manage cash position to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations. Reconcile cash and bank statements on a regular basis.

Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation of food and beverage inventory. Conduct periodic inventory counts and analyze discrepancies.

Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings. Ensure all tax-related documentation is accurate and submitted timely.

Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
