The Maintenance Associate is responsible for overall maintenance, general condition and repair of the facility and equipment used in the facility including the office, shipping & receiving, production and general warehouse areas. This position is responsible for leading in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all facility and equipment issues.

Job Details
  • Perform regular maintenance procedures and checks on warehouse equipment and office facilities.
  • Repair and maintain equipment including saws, drills, pneumatics, and other tools and machines.
  • Monitor the general conditions of company buildings and equipment to ensure high performance.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout and other safety procedures to ensure the safety of others'
  • Assist in the ongoing training of production employees on correct and safe operation of machinery.
  • Identify procedures to better utilize equipment and reduce downtime.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and execute special assignments as assigned by management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Technical school and/or formal training preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing maintenance role. Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and PLCs preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred. Ability to obtain a forklift operators certification and operate a forklift required.
  • Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to perform continuous physical effort (up to eight (8) hours) including frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, and building electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of basic carpentry, sheet rock, painting and door hardware installation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Work under pressure to meet production schedule deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Compile and maintain a log of all service and maintenance activity for equipment.
  • Ensure handling of hazardous materials such as paints, solvents, chemicals, and fertilizers complies with state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to read and follow safety regulations and requirements.
