We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Lateral Construction Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will have a focus on Commercial Construction, Construction Defect, Business Litigation, Product Liability, and Mediation. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to provide legal counsel and support to our construction team on a broad range of issues. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in the relevant field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice and representation to clients in the construction industry, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  2. Handle cases related to commercial construction, construction defects, business litigation, product liability, and mediation.
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to construction projects.
  4. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
  5. Conduct research to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  6. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  7. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  8. Act as an agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals.
  9. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  10. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Will have a portable book of business.
  4. Experience in commercial construction, construction defect, business litigation, product liability, and mediation.
  5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Strong understanding of the construction industry and related legal issues.
  9. Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  11. Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  12. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, understandable language.
