We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated Sr. Litigation Associate to join our high-performance legal team. This position requires a professional with a strong background in litigation, particularly in areas related to construction defect, insurance defense, product liability, and business litigation. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned attorney with a minimum of 2+ years of experience, possessing a comprehensive understanding of trial procedures, motions, hearings, and legal writing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on significant litigation matters and to be a part of a team that provides top-notch legal services to our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses, particularly in areas related to construction defect, insurance defense, product liability, and business litigation.
- Conduct pre-trial preparations, handle discovery, and develop litigation strategies.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legal developments and changes that might affect the clients or cases.
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school is required.
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in litigation, with a focus on construction defect, insurance defense, product liability, and business litigation.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
- Proven experience as a lawyer, with strong court trial experience.
- Superior skills in legal writing and in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex legal issues and synthesize large amounts of information.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
