Job Details

We are seeking an eDiscovery Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of labor and employment matters, providing critical support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role and will be familiar with all aspects of labor and employment law. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a dedicated professional who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of legal documents and correspondence related to labor and employment cases.
  2. Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
  3. Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
  4. Manage case files and documentation, ensuring all relevant information is current and accessible.
  5. Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and meetings, taking notes and providing attorneys with necessary documentation.
  6. Coordinate and schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
  7. Draft legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, and pleadings under the supervision of an attorney.
  8. Maintain the calendar of attorneys, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  9. Liaise with clients, witnesses, and outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in labor and employment law.
  2. Paralegal certification or equivalent required.
  3. Proven experience conducting legal research and preparing legal documents.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
