Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Management:

Oversee the recording and reconciliation of all revenue streams, including donations, grants, and program fees.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports.

Receivables Management:

Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.

Monitor aging of receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

Develop strategies to improve receivables turnover and reduce bad debts.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management, board members, and funders.

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.

Internal Controls:

Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and recommend improvements.

Audit and Compliance:

Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for annual audits.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and funding guidelines.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.

Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA designation preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a non-profit organization.

Proven experience in revenue and receivables management.

Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
