We look forward to meeting you.We are seeking a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) SPY Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. As a SI&T SPY Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. The SPY Engineer shall exercise overall responsibility for ensuring the AN/SPY Radar System is operational and available.This role can be located in either San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Chesapeake, VA, Washington, DC, or Cherry Hill, NJ. This role is contingent upon contract award.What You Will Do
Report to the AWS Engineering Lead and coordinate with the Combat System Design Engineer, Test Coordinator and Test Director for SPY System Test related matters.Exercise responsibility for AN/SPY Radar System equipment suites, setup configurations, equipment interfaces and identification of proper data extraction requirements, alignment engineering, SPY test support, special recording devices/instrumentation, and data collection media that will be required to support testing.Ensure proper activation and operation of the SPY Radar System computing environment including OE, radar safety processes, test procedure review, crew training and trials support, configuration and computer program operation and interface with other elements.Identify, report and resolve equipment and computer program issues with fault isolation, AN/SPY radar system equipment, system configuration and computer program.Provide engineering support for the interfaces and capabilities and limitations.Document test procedure discrepancies for future revision.What You Must Have
Strongly prefer a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 10+ years of SPY radar systems engineering or related experience (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Navy and Marine Corps Sector.U.S. Citizenship is required.9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.Bonus Points For...
