Job Details

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant, to join our growing team.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.
  • Process customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and account balances in the accounting system.
  • Assist with credit checks and credit limit assessments for new and existing customers.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports for management review.

Purchasing:

  • Assist with the purchasing process by processing customer orders, and tracking deliveries.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Verify purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain purchasing records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the sales team in sourcing new suppliers and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, purchasing, or finance-related role, preferably in the software or technology industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
