Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and supporting robust internal audit processes to ensure financial integrity and transparency.
2. Supporting external audit processes by liaising with external auditors and providing them with necessary financial reports and documentation.
3. Preparing financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts, and ensuring they comply with legal regulations and company policies.
4. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
5. Ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with accepted accounting principles and standards.
6. Performing financial analysis and risk assessments.
7. Managing tax payments and returns to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
8. Real estate industry-related accounting tasks when required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Real Estate Industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and financial reporting.
5. Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
