Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year

Job Details

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our electrical construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, entertainment, office buildings, hotels, government, schools, retail, special projects, industrial, multi-family, and residential developments. The Project Manager will ensure successful project execution from inception to completion, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies for electrical construction projects.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor project teams including electricians, subcontractors, and support staff.

Ensure effective communication across all team members and foster a collaborative working environment.

Budget & Cost Management:

Prepare project budgets and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

Risk Management:

Anticipate potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure all safety standards and regulations are adhered to, conducting safety audits when necessary.

Client Communication & Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular updates on project status.

Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns, clarifying project requirements, and managing expectations.

Permits, Documentation, & Compliance:

Ensure all required permits and licenses are obtained in a timely manner.

Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, RFI responses, and project close-out documentation.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to electrical construction.

Quality Control & Assurance:

Monitor the quality of workmanship to ensure it meets company standards and project specifications.

Implement quality assurance programs and conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.

Project Closeout:

Ensure smooth project closeout, including final inspections, punch list completion, and client sign-offs.

Prepare project closeout reports and documentation for future reference.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction, with a proven track record in managing a diverse range of project types.

In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and familiarity with CAD and other construction technology tools.

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.

PMP certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

Primarily on construction sites with occasional office work.

Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
