Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator for HVAC Equipment in the Construction industry. This role is essential in our organization as it directly impacts the success of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems. This position requires a strong understanding of construction drawings, mechanical systems, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of the construction industry, and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and evaluate plans to prepare project estimates.
2. Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
3. Assessing cost effectiveness and identifying potential financial risks.
4. Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
5. Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
6. Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
7. Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.
8. Maintain records of bid projects.
9. Track jobs and adjust estimates based on changes and updates in the project.
10. Liaise with factories and sale reps to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.

Qualifications:

1. Strong understanding of project requirements and knowledge of mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment.
2. Proven experience as an Estimator or similar position.
3. Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
4. BSc/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant discipline.
5. Exquisite math and IT ability with an analytical mindset.
6. Proficient in relevant software (MS Office).
7. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
8. Experience with plan service databases.
9. Excellent organizational skills.
