We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Addiction Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team on a full-time or part-time basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional who is committed to making a significant difference in the lives of individuals suffering from substance use disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of substance abuse and addiction. This role requires a deep understanding of the complex nature of addiction and the ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients suffering from substance use disorders, including the use of DEA approved medications such as methadone and suboxone.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and goals of each patient.
  3. Provide ongoing monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  4. Educate patients and their families about the nature of addiction and the recovery process.
  5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide integrated care to patients.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in addiction medicine.
  7. Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations regarding the prescription of controlled substances.
  8. Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  1. Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine.
  3. Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state, or the willingness to get one prior to start.
  4. DEA licensure with the ability to prescribe DEA approved medications including methadone and suboxone.
  5. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in addiction medicine or a related field.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of addiction medicine.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and their families.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  9. Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients suffering from substance use disorders.
  10. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
