Job Details:

We are on the hunt for an experienced and dedicated Permanent CDL Driver to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Kenworths and other vehicles, ensuring safe and timely delivery of products and materials. If you have a keen eye for safety, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for excellence, we would like to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate Kenworths and other heavy-duty trucks to transport and deliver products or materials.
  2. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, and turning signals, brakes, and cold storage.
  3. Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting hazardous goods.
  4. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  5. Manage routes and meet delivery schedules.
  6. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  7. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  8. Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven work experience as a truck driver.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.).
  4. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  5. No recent moving or driving violations.
  6. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
  7. Valid truck driving license, specifically a CDL.
  8. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  9. Experience driving both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
  10. Proficiency in inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and performing preventative maintenance.
  11. Strong physical ability to load and unload goods as required.
  12. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
