The purpose of the Certified Nurse Assistant position is provide assigned residents routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s care plan, and as may be directed by facility supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  2. Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any changes or abnormalities to the nursing team promptly.
  3. Assist with medical procedures and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
  4. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and in working order.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing emotional support and education as needed.
  6. Uphold all healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols, ensuring patient privacy and dignity at all times.
  7. Participate in continuous learning opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare practices and advancements.

Qualifications:

  1. Must hold a valid CNA certification.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  4. Demonstrated ability to perform all CNA duties, with a solid understanding of healthcare practices, standards, and protocols.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  6. Must be compassionate, empathetic, and patient, with a genuine passion for providing top-notch patient care.
  7. Must be physically fit and able to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment as needed.
  8. Basic computer skills, with the ability to use healthcare software and systems effectively.
  9. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
