Base Salary $130-150k (DOE)

10-20% Bonus Target

This is an Onsite Position -- not Hybrid, although there is flexibility for work/life arrangements

Job Details:

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to join our team in the healthcare/medical industry. This role is critical to our organization, as it involves managing the Accounts Receivable (AR), Revenue and billing functions of our healthcare organization. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire revenue cycle from patient billing to collections. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute significantly to the financial health and stability of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of medical billing and collections for our healthcare organization.
  2. Manage the day-to-day operations of the AR department to ensure accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain systems, methodologies, and procedures for billing.
  4. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of billing practices and make recommendations for improved operational efficiency.
  5. Develop and maintain productive relationships with payers and providers.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to billing and collections.
  7. Train, mentor, and provide direction to the AR team.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing procedures and ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  9. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of billing data and revenue cycle processes.
  10. Prepare and present reports on billing activities and effectiveness to senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and collections, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  3. Proven experience in managing the revenue cycle, including patient billing, insurance reimbursement, and collections.
  4. Expert knowledge of medical billing procedures, codes, and regulations.
  5. Proficient in using medical software and billing systems.
  6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  10. Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and protecting patient confidentiality.
