Job Details

Responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment and infrastructure at production facilities and warehouse operations. Ensures smooth operation of mechanical equipment by performing daily and weekly preventive maintenance. Maintains a cooperative working relationship with other departments throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair production and facility equipment at the 21st site, Creamery, and Warehouse to ensure optimal operation.
  • Respond promptly to work orders, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
  • Monitor and manage tool and material inventory; inform Foreman or Lead when additional supplies are needed.
  • Regularly inspect the facility and equipment, documenting findings and reporting potential issues or equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and greasing, to keep equipment running smoothly.

Core Activities:

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Adhere to proper operating procedures.
  • Prioritize work orders based on urgency and time required for completion.
  • Identify and repair malfunctions in processing, filling, and ancillary equipment.
  • Report any material or product issues to supervisors or management.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of tools for maintenance work, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
  • Comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies, procedures, and position-specific requirements.
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations and procedures.
  • Adhere to GMPs, sanitation, and quality protocols as directed by QA or supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, Lead, Foreman, or other management.

Required Skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred), both written and spoken.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
  • Troubleshooting abilities.
  • Basic PLC skills (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of electrical meters and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Positive safety attitude.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in machine operations (preferred).
  • Experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
