With tools and guidance to sharpen your skills, you can forge your own career path, love what you do, and let it show.Job Overview:As a Technology Support Specialist, you deliver hands-on support directly to our communities and support centers technology and equipment, including computers, tablets, printers, network equipment, and low voltage hardware.Roles You Will Play:The TechieInstall, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware and software to ensure optimal workstation performance; complete additional projects as assignedDiagnose, recommend, and sometimes repair low voltage technology issues such as cameras, gates, meters, and general wiringMaintain technical competence through self-study, provided trainings, and attending meetings that provide updated information about the current computing environmentDiagnose, repair, and maintain network hardware and wiring to ensure optimal network performance and coverageShow proficiency in documenting systems, setups, and proceduresThe IT AmbassadorMaintain an onsite presence at communities 75% of the timeCollaborate effectively with team members to identify problems and work towards solutionsAccept responsibility for user account changes, technology policy application, and automation as requiredDemonstrate tact, discretion, and good judgement required for dealing with confidential informationTake responsibility for ensuring desktop solutions remain stable and operationalEnsure that changes and updates are implemented methodically and without anticipated interruption of services at each of your sitesThe Problem SolverTroubleshoot problems with local and network printers and print queues; fix problems with server hardware and phone systemField requests for technical assistance, record them in a ticketing system, and resolve issues in accordance with Service Level Agreements and departmental expectationsExhibit aptitude in troubleshooting hardware and softwareExecute periodic community inspections, provide proactive technology support, and recommend improvements to enhance the associate experience around technology for all of your sitesThe Impact You Can MakeTechnical problems have met their match with you your problem-solving prowess can tackle any issues!Setups have never been easier or smoother, and any bugs are quickly remedied.Your team members and community associates know they can trust and rely on your backup, support, and expertise whenever they need your help!Building Blocks of Success:

Associates or Bachelors degree; equivalent work experience acceptableA+, Network+, MCDST, Dell, Apple, and other related certifications preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills; superb customer service and interpersonal skillsSuperior critical thinking and problem-solving skillsDesire to learn new technologiesAbility to work both independently and within a team environment; experience working as part of a project team a plusIn-depth knowledge of Windows and Mac OS X operating systems as well as Office applications; capability to install, configure, and troubleshoot each operating systemWorking knowledge of Active DirectoryFamiliarity with mobile device hardware and software (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, etc.)
