Position: Senior Human Resources Generalist

Location: Baton Rouge, LA ONSITE

Comp: $50,000-70,000

Strategic Business Consulting Services is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management and a proven track record of implementing effective HR strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures in line with company objectives and legal requirements

- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting interviews

- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive and smooth experience for all new hires and departures

- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees to ensure continuous improvement

- Serve as a resource for employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures

- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as recruiting agencies, benefits providers, and legal counsel

- Continuously review and improve HR processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness

- Lead and participate in various HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in HR management, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment

- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Proven project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
