The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.

Job Summary

Lead multidisciplinary teams (2 - 7 members) in the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems. Within assignment parameters, defines project scope and resources required, prepares project plans and directs team efforts. Usually oversees multiple projects. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Network Services management and staff, user management, team members. This position typically will advise and counsel: team members. This position will supervise: NA (work direction only).Responsibilities

Job Duty 2 -Organize project team and designate individual members for specific tasks.

Job Duty 3 -Oversee team efforts in meeting project objectives.

Job Duty 4 -Prepare project documentation.

Job Duty 5 -Make certain that assignments are completed consistent with applicable standards and best practices.

Job Duty 6 -Keep management informed on project(s) progress.

Job Duty 7 -Advise management as to individual team member performance.

Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

At least 5 years experience running LANS, WANs and wireless infrastructure for a Campus or Enterprise NetworkAt least 5 years experience developing, managing, and using network monitoring toolsExperience with Network Access Control platforms such as ISE, ClearPass, and ForeScoutExperience with testing, designing, and vendor exploration of EAP-TLS certificate solutionsExperience configuring and managing load balancers such as NetScaler, F5s, or A10s.Experience with scripting technologies such as Expect, Python, and Ansible to automate network tasksExperience with API integration across multiple platformsExperience leading and managing network related projectsExcellent interpersonal communication skills in order to hold discussions with customers (both technical and non technical) on campus, vendors, and other technology partners.Experience communicating with a large customer groups through both presentations and mass communications such as e-mailMust be organized and able to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.Proposed Salary
