This role is responsible for providing production scheduling with an optimal and realistic sequence based on the availability of resources and materials. This role will work strategically with operations, Vendor partners and Supplier Sourcing to reduce costs and realize optimal inventory levels while working to achieve on time deliverables and value to our Customers. This role will have full ownership of the demand accuracy and material and supply availability to manage the commodities assigned. The role will interface with Suppliers in the timely release and maintenance of purchase orders to support demand needs.
Key Responsibilities
Establish a production plan within a defined production scheduling period that considers available capacity, labor, and materials availability in response to demand requirements for the scope of work being managed.Review the detailed production schedule as defined by Planning Management to ensure it continues to meet business priorities and requirements; adjust supply requirements accordingly for the commodity assignedUtilize QAD tools during production and planning tools and efficiencies to determine the optimal schedule for cost and materialsAnalyze demand and scheduled needs and manage optimal supply and inventory levels to support company objectivesRelease planned production orders in support of production needs as requiredPublish regular production schedule to key stakeholders, review all production changes, limitations and priorities to meet customer ordersMaintain QAD master data for Items and perform routine maintenance to ensure system data integrityEvaluating supply of material in buyer with the selection of the right product mixCreating, modifying and releasing of purchase orders to Supplier partnersTracking open purchase order status and expediting the arrival of materials to support demand requirements for productionEnsuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification in accordance to the established purchase priceRequirements
Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business with a supply chain focusMaster's Degree Preferred1-3 years' experience Supply Chain, Inventory Control and Purchasing1-3 years' experience Distribution, Scheduling2+ years' experience Project ManagementExcellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office and ERP systems with an MRP applicationsStrong Analytical skill setAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesBenefits
