Job Details

As a CFO / Controller Consultant you will be responsible for managing clients we provide outsourced CFO, controller, and accounting services to and overseeing all areas related to those clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

For Clients – duties may vary by client:

  • Manage the monthly close process to produce timely, accurate, and valid financial information
  • Review or prepare financial statements and supporting reconciliations, analysis and work papers
  • Review or prepare management reporting packages, budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze and interpret financial information for client management and provide recommendations
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts as needed by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
  • Review client accounting procedures to recommend and implement process improvements
  • Monitor and forecast borrowing base availability and covenant compliance
  • Communicate financial results to CFO, Board of Directors, Shareholders, and managers
  • Build constructive and effective relationships with clients and leaders within their organization
  • Work with outside auditors and tax accountants. Ensure appropriate accounting practices in accordance with GAAP and FASB where appropriate

For Company:

  • Direct initial assessments, implementations, and onboarding of new clients
  • Manage, allocate and track work of associates, ensuring work is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Deliver excellent customer service to foster an environment of long-term relationships
  • Scheduling time with client to complete tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses/Certifications and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • MBA and CMA/CPA preferred
  • 7 - 10 years of progressive experience in financial management
  • Experience as a Controller, CFO or Accounting Manager running business operations • Analytical and problem-solving skills, highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships
