Job Summary

The Business Support Analyst (BSA) III plays a key role in supporting the strategic initiatives of the Institute Advancement team by providing advanced business analysis, project management, and system support. The BSA III optimizes fundraising operations, analyzes donor data, and ensures the efficient use of technology to enhance donor engagement and fundraising outcomes. The BSA III works closely with IA staff, internal DOT-CIO partners, and external vendors to align fundraising technology solutions with the Institute's mission. The BSA III also leverages complex technology and applications to meet the business needs of Institute Advancement, and is responsible for continual evaluation and system improvement, data governance, application deployment and training, upgrade coordination, system integrations and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science Three (3) years of experience in business analysis, system administration, or a similar role, preferably within a higher education or nonprofit fundraising environment Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Higher Education Advancement environment Experience with Anthology's Encompass (formerly known as iModules), Ellucian's Advance or related Higher Education Software Experience with Business Intelligence concepts and tools and report writing software Experience in Project Management Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR or CCPA Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in working with enterprise level applications. Ability to design, implement, research and analyze data Proficiency with CRM systems, such as, Ellucian, Blackbaud, or Salesforce, with experience in system administration Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation Knowledge of fundraising processes and donor lifecycle management Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with colleagues and users in a diverse environment Ability to work both independently and as a team member

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range:

$68,000 - $75,000
