The opportunity:
The Manager of Technical Project Management is responsible for managing and leading a hub based Project Management team responsible for managing the new items process and artwork preparation for Smurfit Westrock\u2019s flexographic and Digital preprint production facilities. In addition, the Manager of Technical Project Management will assist in business growth and development with a focus on continuous process improvement through advancements in technology, innovation and automation.
How you will impact WestRock:
Lead, manage, coach and direct Project Managers working through the new items process, which includes: Pricing, Web Layout creation, Customer Approvals, Scheduling, Billing, etc.
Scheduling work to ensure internal / external customer needs are met
Interacts daily with Project Managers, Sales Team, Customer Service, Smurfit Westrock Production facilities, Prepress teams and Management
Drive collaboration with Team members and Management to develop creative corrective actions / solutions to customer issues or gaps in process to improve quality and accelerate speed to market
Assist / help prioritize the demands of the customer with the abilities of the production sites for focused results
Solicit, organize, and communicate customer feedback, relative to team performance
Visit preprint production facilities to enhance ongoing business relationships
Understand graphic requirements through the use of Customer / Press Specification Library
Evaluate and verify employee performance
Ensure staffing needs / requirements are met
Establish goals, track results
Prepare and submit reports as required
Perform audits of work instruction procedures
Responsible for continuous education in the areas of new technology, new processes, and personal growth
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and developments
Support the WestRock Culture
Perform other duties as assigned and assist anywhere needed

What you need to succeed:
Experience in Management Required
Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Mac Experience Required
Experience in Preflighting of Graphic Files for Plate Production Required
Bachelor\u2019s Degree Preferred
Experience with Flexographic Printing and Plates Preferred
Knowledge of Prepress Capabilities Preferred
Strong written & oral communication skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent time management skills - ability to be proactive and acknowledge priority
Ability to resolve conflicts and develop teamwork
Ability to work independently\u2026 Self Starter
