Verbio is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Material handler, for its biomethane and ethanol production facility located at 59219 Lincoln Highway, Nevada, IA 50201.

About Verbio

At the Nevada, IA location, VERBIO plans to produce biomethane (renewable natural gas) from baled crop residues and corn-based ethanol. The plant is currently operating & producing methane gas from corn stover digestion. Occurring in the 4th quarter of 2022 there will be an expansion of the biomethane process as the corn-based ethanol facilities are being retrofitted and will be brought online. Verbio will be producing renewable natural gas, ethanol, and organic liquid fertilizer products from the ethanol process along with humus a soil conditioner

Position Purpose

You will be responsible for supply chain movement throughout the plant, unloading stover bales from trucks to storage for processing, and loading stover bales from storage to processing line. This involves working with our supply scheduler, process technicians, and the logistics team to optimize the flow of material. This is a full-time hourly position including health, dental, vision, 401(k), vacation, and other employee benefits.

Essential Functions

Load corn oil, humus, and all other products into shipping trucks or railcars for customer transport.Operate power industrial equipment to unload stover bales from trucks to storage and from storage to processing line.Generate Bills of Lading and communicate back to operations for data entry into our ERP system.Ensure warehouses and process areas open to the outside are clean and dust is controlled per environmental requirements.Work with process technicians and the logistics team.Actively participate in crew and department activities, which may include definition of best practices, SOP development, maintenance, training, continuous improvement efforts and standardization.Implement, adhere to, and recommend changes to ISO standards.Work in an organized and safe manner; address safety, GMP and housekeeping concerns to ensure a safe and clean workplace.Communicate verbally, and in writing, about division of tasks, shift turnover, email, problem resolution, feedback, process documentation, etc.Perform chemical inventories on a reoccurring basis and communicate status.Work with the team leaders to ensure critical routine duties are tracked and completed on time.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.Support outage planning activities.Support improvement in shift change communication.Willing to be fit tested, hearing tested, and complete a respiration test if needed.Provide backup support to other roles as needed.Additional duties, as assigned.Qualifications

High School EducationExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and organizational skillsMinimum 1 year of experience in an industrial settingMultiple Schedules available. Days and or 12-hour rotating shift that includes nights, holidays, and weekends within the Nevada Plant.Ability to work overtime as neededAbility to do moderate to heavy lifting (55 lbs.)Ability to define, write, and follow Standard Operating ProceduresAbility to perform multiple tasks and coordinate activitiesStrong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plantSelf-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of safety and environmental regulationsWhat We Offer
