Position Overview

The Cybersecurity Architect will lead the design, implementation, and management of secure network and system architectures in compliance with federal cybersecurity standards, including FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP. This role focuses on Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions, ensuring the integrity, security, and scalability of identity management systems. The ideal candidate will lead security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining security architecture documents, artifacts, and the organization's technology roadmap. Additional duties include contributing to the development and updating of cybersecurity and IT policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Design and implement secure network and system architectures in compliance with federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).

Lead the design and deployment of ICAM solutions, ensuring the integrity, security, and scalability of identity management systems.

Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align ICAM architecture with overarching security strategies.

Develop ICAM roadmaps, solutions, and technical documentation aligned with NIST, FICAM and other federal guidelines.

Provide expert support in the deployment of multifactor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and other federal guidelines.

Ensure compliance with Federal ICAM regulations, including FISMA, OMB M-19-17 and related mandates.

Close collaboration with customer personnel and teams to ensure solutions are developed with an Enterprise mindset and ensure solutions address site specific requirements and concerns.

Perform security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing in accordance with federal guidelines.

Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and federal regulations.

Lead the development and maintenance of Security Architecture documents and artifacts

Lead the development and maintenance of the organization's technology roadmap.

Support the development of and updating of Cybersecurity and IT policies and procedures

Required Skills and Experience

Experience with cloud-based identity management solutions specially AWS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

Proven experience (5+ years) in cybersecurity architecture, ideally within a government or defense contracting environment.

In-depth knowledge of federal security standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, and FedRAMP.

Experience with risk management frameworks (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.

Strong understanding of cloud security in government environments (e.g., GovCloud, DoD IL5 specially AWS.

Active security clearance preferred

Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) strongly preferred.

Ability to work with government agencies and understand compliance requirements.

Strong communications skills to engage stakeholders and document architecture decisions.

Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Master's preferred.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $111,000 - $141,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
