Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to work with Tube cut, plate area, and the weld fabrication team in an effort to gather and receive materials for fabrication. This position is called upon to handle all material from the prep areas for the welders, unloading steel trucks, keep storage areas clean and organized and keep the weld prep team supplied with materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for quality and quantity of sub-assembliesContinuous improvement in support of department and company goalsSupports, participates and encourages team buildingProvides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments and the supervisorPromotes a positive work environmentFollow all of Porter Corp's procedures and policiesWork safely and efficientlyStay customer focusedPerform other duties as assignedCompetencies (check all that apply)

This position requires minimal to no travel
Computer SkillsBasic computer skillsDemonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
Able to read blue printsVery good interpersonal skillsMust be open-minded to new ideas and conceptsPossesses very good problem-solving skillsMust be self-motivated and results orientedOther Skills
