The Manager of IT position designs and manages operations of Wagering Systems IT infrastructure. This role directs and reviews all technical and administrative aspects of the Network and Systems team. This position ensures the IT infrastructure is secure and dependable in meeting the business needs.
The competencies include but are not limited to the following: Coaching; Communication Proficiency; Conflict Resolution; Decision Making; Financial Management; Leadership; Organizational Skills; Personal Effectiveness & Credibility; Problem Solving & Analysis; Project Management; Results Driven; Strategic Thinking; Time Management; Teamwork Orientation; and Vendor ManagementDirects and reviews all technical aspects of network communications at the entity level including infrastructure (concentrators, hubs, routers, data switches, data lines), local area networks, wide area networks, problem resolution and network securityDirects and reviews all technical aspects of operating system and related system software management, including installation, maintenance, administration and support of in-house and field workstations and serversDevelops and oversees implementation of central data security policies, architecture and proceduresDevelops reliable metrics for hardware and software while directing and supporting implementation of upgradesDevelops and maintains schedules by adjusting hours of work, priorities and team assignments to ensure an efficient operation based on workloadIdentifies security vulnerabilities and eliminates them with strategic solutions that increase data safetyIdentifies and recommends new technology solutions for the organizationFacilitates risk assessments of company related projectsPartners and/or leads in overall managerial assistance in complying with company policies and procedures5+ years of experience administering Microsoft systemsDemonstrated experience in large-scale enterprise network design including Security, WAN and LANStrong and proven design and configuration experience with Cisco and Juniper based networksIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Enterprise products (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL) and VMWare technologiesKnowledge of interoperability of technologies (Windows-VM-Routers-Switches-SAN, etc)Strong and professional management skillsPossesses excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to work well with people of various backgrounds and skill levelsSelf-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with a minimum of direction, guidance and oversightThe ability to operate independently, without close supervisionPreferred Experience and/or Education:
Wagering/gaming industry experience; Knowledgeable in horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming, sports wagering and/or social marketplace industries
