Additionally, OUA provides guidance on academic programs, policies, and procedures in the College of Letters & Science. OUA enforces and adjudicates the academic regulations of the College to ensure the integrity of the degree and the continuing quality of the institution. Decisions made by OUA impact all academic units within the College of Letters & Science and set a precedent for other Colleges on campus.OUA works collaboratively with academic and administrative departments across campus. Supports tasks and work plans and ensures progress and completion of deliverables within established timelines. Recommends solutions for review and approval by senior management.Application Review DateThe First Review Date for this job is: 08/23/2024.ResponsibilitiesSystems Analysis and Coordination: Supports the maintenance and coordination of the student-facing advising tools administered by OUA (advising appointment system, Qualtrics, etc).Analyzes and troubleshoots integration issues, and works closely with supervisor and other leaders to align the platform with other advising services and processes and improve user experience.Liaises with various campus units to identify new and more effective ways to utilize technology to improve existing operational processes and practices.Supports the interest and needs of L&S Advising with various campus units including but not limited to Student Information Systems (SIS), Information Technology (IT), Research, Teaching and Learning (RTL), and the Business Process Management Office.Data Analysis and Reporting: Formulates and conducts analysis involving multiple data sources; helps support and determines appropriate data collection strategy and maintains databases.Reviews and monitors advising appointment data, analyzes service usage and suggests ways to improve existing processes and practices.Supports and maintains contacts internally and with external constituents for the collection and exchange of data.Project Planning:Assists with researching software applications and technologies related to scheduling systems, advising strategies, position management, and financial reporting, and supports coordination of approved actions.Supports cross-functional teams that focus on supporting new applications or leveraging product enhancements as required.Coordinates efforts with a variety of external and internal contacts; researches organizational structures, policies, and procedures supporting technical guidance and quality assessment.Professional Learning and Development:Attends training, workshops, and other professional development opportunities that enhance subject matter expertise.Contributes to activities that enhance the mission and strategic priorities of L&S Advising and the Undergraduate Studies Division.Administrative Support:Provides additional administrative central office support or other duties as assigned and defined by operational necessity for special and impactful events.Required QualificationsDemonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT.Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.Demonstrates problem-solving skills.General knowledge of business and process analysis functions.Knowledge relating to software design.Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.Skills associated with analysis of processes and issues of moderate scope, information flow and architecture.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
