Job Summary: As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for a variety of IT hardware and software issues. Your role will involve maintaining and repairing IT hardware, supporting our Microsoft Environment, managing point of sale (POS) systems, and delivering excellent help desk services. You will also handle network-related issues to ensure smooth operations within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair IT hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Perform hardware upgrades and replacements as needed. Assist users with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to these applications. Manage and support Lightspeed POS or other relevant point of sale software. Ensure the POS systems are functioning correctly and assist with any related issues. Provide support for laptop and desktop-related issues, including software installations, network connectivity, and performance problems. Perform diagnostics and repairs, as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless connections. Maintain and support network hardware, such as routers and switches, and ensure network security protocols are followed. Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests. Handle inquiries and technical issues efficiently through phone, email, or in-person support. Accurately document support tickets and resolutions. Qualifications: Strong experience with IT hardware repair and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Lightspeed POS or similar point of sale software. Knowledge of network infrastructure and troubleshooting. Previous experience in a help desk or IT support role, with a demonstrated ability to manage and resolve technical issues effectively. Experience in escalating tickets to appropriate departments when necessary. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive user experience. Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A, Microsoft Certified Professional, Network) are a plus.
