Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer who can design, implement, and operate the network and security estate here at Barings. You'll bring experience, drive, enthusiasm, and a passion for technology.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibility will be to design, implement and operate the network and security environment in accordance with the teams policies, processes and procedures.
As a senior technical member of the Network & Security team, the main areas of focus will be:
Operate within an Agile environment.Provide technical leadership within a collaborative team.Work in the team to design, implement and operate secure networking capabilities.Pro-actively maintain the network and security hardware, applications, and services.Respond to incidents, requests and troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues.Implement planned Change across all the devices and services under the management of the team.Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during Major Incidents as required.High degree of documentation skills, for creating and maintaining design and operational documentation, Change documentation, Runbooks, Test plans and any other operational documentation as required.Management of Control, Audit and Risk routines.Qualifications
The Engineer will have proven technical expertise with:
Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Prisma Cloud service.Hold a PCNSE or PCCSE certification or equivalent in experience.Experience of SASE framework and technologies.SD-WAN Experience - Palo IONs preferred.Cisco CCNP - Switching and Routing or equivalent work experience.High level of understanding and experience with OSPF and BGP.Azure experience, ideally AZ-700 certified.Micro-segmentation principles and technologies.Zero Trust principles.Experience with Wireshark or other packet capture tools to analyze traffic.Understanding of voice and video network traffic.The Network & Security Engineer will have general working expertise of:
Strong knowledge of all round infrastructure technologiesDemonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to respond to shifting priorities, and to work efficiently under pressure.Strong communication and presentation skillsCandidate must be passionate about innovation and enjoy leading change.Candidate must be passionate in creating a collaborative, caring and safe environment for all teammates to succeed.Network Automation experience advantageous.Participate in the team on-call rota#LI-JS1
