When Integrity Leads, Success Follows . https://www.controlsouthern.com/about-us/ Job Summary: The role of the Application Engineer is to directly assist our clients through engineering support, quotation development, logistics and sales fulfillment, as well as customer service activities in a defined sales territory. Work with internal teammates and customers through application consultations, product selections, and sales processes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Engineer, select, configure, and quote products and services to industrial process control clients. Formulate creative solutions to be delivered on time while working within logistic constraints. Own and direct the internal flow of quotes and orders for multiple business units. Develop technically sound final control process solutions that are beneficial for both the customer and Control Southern. Respond quickly and completely to requests for quotes, orders, technical support, etc. Ensure customer purchase orders are processed in a timely manner. Monitor and optimize profit margins. Participate actively in training assignments and classes. Advocate on the customer's behalf any issues or problems with principal suppliers. Develop basic understanding of unique technical specifications with awareness of customers' business constraints. Manage the sales process from quote-to-cash, including qualification of sales leads and requests using Sander Selling System processes and Challenger Sale philosophies.
Technical Skills & Ability Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking skills, and self-discipline in personal development. Succeed in a highly technical and multi-tasking environment. Show attention to detail, with the ability to identify and adhere to basic specification requirements including financial, scheduling, mechanical, and spatial constraints. Demonstrate solid mechanical aptitude. Exhibit strong professional communication skills. Display fundamental problem solving and critical thinking skills when working through daily situations. Manage workload and prioritize tasks with some assistance.

Travel: As necessary. Five to ten days per year is typical. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college is required. Two years industry related experience with preference for process control functions preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications required (Outlook, Excel, Word). Exposure to Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software preferred (IFS, Oracle, SAP). Experience with customer relationship (CRM) software preferred (Salesforce, ACT!). Effective interpersonal and communication (oral & written) skills required. Must be very customer focused. Qualifications Education
