SUMMARY The Capital Projects Manager supports and assists the Executive Director of Facilities along with Facilities Field Managers. Overseas maintenance and alteration of buildings and grounds, equipment, machinery, and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Overseas and manages all construction projects executed by non IPS contractors as well as FMD staff. Field verifies and inspects contractors work and makes sure it's to IPS standards. Acts as FMD's liaison with contractors and vendors when directed by the Executive Director of Facilities as well as other duties assigned. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Planning building maintenance and operational programs Ensuring the efficiency of all building systems Maintaining a safe work environment of all employees Ensuring all processes and compliance programs are met. Managing facilities planning and space allocation Coordinate with contractors oversees construction projects Overseeing all building functions Coordinating all maintenance issues and schedules Manage and oversee maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, making sure they are addressed by personnel responsibly. Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently. Be able to read and understand construction documents and blueprints. Goal-oriented, organized team player Self-motivated and self-directed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports the management of subordinate employees within FMD Craft Department is responsible for direction, coordination, and evaluation of subordinates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None.
