They lead the E2E solution design strategy across teams, and partner with other architects across the enterprise. The role makes recommendations for new procedures and overall architectural approach, partnering with senior level Architects. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situation or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises judgement in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups. Informal supervision of other's work assignments. Job Responsibilities: Strategy * Owns solution design for multiple cross domain initiatives involving data and works across domains to ensure cohesive solutions. * Proactively investigates technologies, architectures, design strategies and standards options to address concerns of new solution offerings prior to creation. * Makes and implements sophisticated decisions aimed at improving the quality, effectiveness or ability to achieve revenue, profitability and strategic goals for the organization. Innovation and Leadership * Leads overall technical design and end-to-end solution design for highly complex initiatives. * Ensures quality, consistency and alignment of designs to TMUS standards and digital strategy. * Handles multiple initiatives in parallel and lends expertise to Principal and Sr. Architects. Presents solution design to Senior Leadership in IT and Business. * Prepares and maintains design deliverables that include POCs, architecture diagrams, data models, and API / micro-service architecture. * Builds, presents, designs, and implements new ideas which improve an existing or new system/process/service. * Offers new industry views and considerations within the IT organization. * Contributes to industry or vendor forums on TMobile's behalf. Analyzes industry trends and competitive moves, determines potential impact on T-Mobile and proposes appropriate actions if any. * Proposes new insights and innovations to management and peer architects that may have significant business impacts. Technology and System * Proactively identifies system weaknesses, determines root cause, and finds solutions for improvement. Creates complex network and service architecture, design strategies and standards. * Possess deep understanding in multiple technologies and disciplines in the building blocks, interactions, dependencies and tools required to complete architecture design work. * Applies extensive knowledge of the various systems used in the T-Mobile environment and awareness of current technology benefits. * Maintains understanding of the broader impact to the business from internal and external technology directions. * Represents T-Mobile's view on technology issues in publiforums. * Supervises writing of advanced documentation, architecture, capabilities, limitations, and advantages for technologies. * Produces advanced documentation and literature for multiple disciplines. * Actively contributes to industry publications and professional forums. Project Management * Applies a broad understanding of the products, systems and technologies across the business portfolio and deep technical ability on integration of these component
