Rancho Biosciences, a leader in Data Curation, is seeking a

Life Science Business Analyst

to identify, design, implement and support data management, curation and analytics solutions on behalf of our pharmaceutical, academic and institutional clients. To be successful, you will need to be an expert problem solver with a strong understanding of the broad range of software technologies and platforms available. We are a Data Curation company working with some of the most renowned Pharmaceutical companies in the world. We support talented people living where they chose, working collaboratively together on projects that have a real impact on human health.In This Role You Will

Collaborate with peers to identify, design and execute data management solutions, ensuring FAIR principles are adhered to.

Proactively manage IT and business partners, delivery teams, and project team to ensure accountability and drive value.

Understand, document and analyze scientific business processes to define and document business requirements.

Act as expert for data collection and acquisition, advising on best practices and proposing innovative solutions.

Ensures current and accurate system documentation, coordinates and or performs testing of system modifications, both validated and non-validated systems.

Develop and lead system testing and user acceptance testing.

Provide aggregate level reviews designed to identify outliers or trends in the data, gaps in standard checks or other anomalies in the data.

Communicate with the client to understand their data needs and offer Data Management solutions.

Requirements

BS or MS in Life Sciences, Data/Computer Science, Bioinformatics OR equivalent industry experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or similar scientific industry is required.

3 years as a business analyst or related technical writing experience in the development of business requirements for R&D data systems, data science, and analytical systems.

Experience with data management platforms

Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle and GxP validation.

IIBA Certification in Business Analysis and/or familiarity with the BABOK preferred.

Experienced with JIRA and Confluence

Experienced with agile ways of working (e.g., scrum)

Demonstrated ability to work successfully with business owners and scientists to understand business needs and document business processes.

Demonstrated understanding of and ability to deliver business process modeling documents.
