Windows System Administrator (ADMS / Windows Server 2016)Location: Lubbock, TXDuration: 12 Months +We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our team and support critical applications at Xcel Energy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows server administration, application support, and a proven ability to work in an agile environment.ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration:Manage and maintain Windows servers (2016 and above) and workstations (Windows 10 and 11).Perform routine system patching and updates to ensure security and stability.Provide technical support for critical applications.Active Directory and Group Policy:Manage Active Directory user accounts, groups, and permissions.Configure and maintain Group Policy settings to enforce security standards and user policies.Change Management:Adhere to change management processes and procedures to minimize disruptions and risks.Scripting:Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and improve efficiency.Agile Development:Collaborate with development teams in an agile environment, participating in two-week sprints and providing technical support.Project Updates:Contribute to the AML project by providing updates and assisting with technical tasks.Additional Responsibilities:Support Schneider Electric systems and applications.Provide AD support, including user management and distribution power.QualificationsTechnical Skills:Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration (2016 and above).Experience with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and change management principles.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.Familiarity with ServiceNow and ADMS is a plus.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Adaptability to a fast-paced, agile environment.If you are a dedicated and results-oriented System Administrator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
