Primary Responsibilities

The Facility Design Project Manager contributes leadership, experience and knowledge to a working team of professionals resulting in the creation of innovative facility designs for operations and maintenance facilities across multiple disciplines, including Transportation, Water, Civic, Federal Government, and more. Candidate will have an ability to be a team player for the globally recognized Architecture and Engineering firm. This leadership role manages design and construction phases of projects from conception to completion. The Facility Design Project Manager reports to Colorado’s Senior Program Manager overseeing the Operation and Maintenance team. Some travel to client sites or other HDR offices is required. The Facility Design Project Manager is responsible for overall project and office resource management, including budget and schedule control, communications, and client, consultant, and vendor relations.

In the role of Facility Design Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects

Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development, ensuring successful project delivery

Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff

Coordinate with other disciplines across HDR

Manage submittal and RFI process

Control project budget, scope, and schedule

Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule

Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed

Invoicing and contract management

Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards

Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings

Represent HDR at interview presentations

Perform other technical and managerial tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years related experience

PMP certification

Architectural Background

Revit Experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field

7 years related experience

A minimum of 2 years project management experience

Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Colorado: $117,887.00 - $168,410.00
